Bringing your students in from a spreadsheet

What to put in the file, what happens to rows that do not fit, and what to do first.

Start with names, contact details and target country. That is enough to work with, and the rest of a student file fills in as you use it rather than as a data-entry project up front.

What a good first import looks like

  1. One row per student, with the counsellor who owns them if you already track that.
  2. Target country and intake if you have them, because that is what the pipeline groups by.
  3. Leave out anything you are unsure of. A blank field is easy to fill later; a wrong one is found six weeks in, by a counsellor who trusted it.

Documents

Do not bulk-upload documents on day one. Every upload records where it came from and who checked it, and a batch imported without that is a shelf of files nobody can vouch for. Attach them as each student's case moves.

If this did not answer it, open a ticket from your workspace — it arrives with your account attached, so nobody has to ask you which agency you are. Support is included on every plan.
