Why a commission has not appeared yet
Receivables move through expected, confirmed, invoiced and paid. Most missing commission is waiting on a census date.
A receivable is raised when the student accepts an offer, at the rate on that institution's rate card. It is not payable then — it is expected.
The usual reason
Most institutions only confirm commission after the census date, when enrolment is final. Until that date passes the receivable sits as expected, which is accurate rather than pessimistic: a student who withdraws in week two earns nothing, and a system that counted it would have to claw it back.
Other reasons
- No rate card for that institution, so nothing could be calculated. Add one and the receivable is raised.
- The application never reached deposit paid, so no receivable exists yet.
- It is confirmed but not invoiced. Invoicing is a deliberate step so you can reconcile before asking for money.
